A doux release is alive. It reads the world as it plays, so it never repeats and cannot be archived in the ordinary sense — there is no single recording to keep.
The Museum holds the frozen final states of past doux works. The shape a song took at one particular moment in the world, preserved.
What is frozen is the data of the moment. The instrument replaying it is the same living engine doux uses today, so each piece is re-performed on every visit and may shift subtly as the instrument is tuned.
The final's version is the one released to streaming.
